Deer Valley Machine Works, founded in 2020 in Sparta, Wisconsin, was born from a firsthand understanding of manufacturing industry gaps. Our founder, Josh Clark, began his career in manufacturing at 18, working in different manufacturing environments over the years. The experience gained during this time directly inspired Josh’s vision: to establish his own machine shop that embodies the cleanliness and exacting methodology of manufacturing, applied to a broader spectrum of everyday machining needs.

Located in a picturesque valley that lends inspiration to the company’s name, Deer Valley Machine Works operates from a 3,000-square-foot facility designed for lean and efficient processes. As a family-owned business led by Josh and his younger brother, Ethan, the focus is on quality and meeting each customer’s needs. Their working motto is: “Whatever fits in our machines, we’ll machine it.”

The brothers’ journey has led them to continuously acquire newer machines and hone their specialized expertise, which are now anchored by advanced 5-axis machining capabilities along with 3-axis machining and 2-axis turning. Their in-house capabilities also include precise part verification and comprehensive engineering support, with many projects involving taking client concepts from basic prints and turning them into optimized parts. The lean team’s ongoing dedication to lean manufacturing practices, combined with responsive communication and integrated inspection processes, solidifies Deer Valley Machine Works as a reliable and agile partner for even the most challenging or complex machining requirements.
